UTS elections

Elections are held to fill a range of membership positions on UTS boards and committees, including staff or student positions on Council, Academic Board, and faculty boards and committees associated with these bodies.

2020 timetable

UniSuper Consultative Committee election

Elections for the UniSuper Consultative Committee will be held in 2020.

  • Nominations are open from Wednesday 26 February to 3pm, Wednesday 11 March 2020
  • Voting is open from Wednesday 18 March to 3pm, Wednesday 1 April 2020

Staff elections

Staff can stand as candidates and vote in elections for Council, Academic Board, Academic Board committees and faculty boards.

  • Nominations are open from Thursday 16 April to 3pm, Thursday 30 April 2020
  • Voting is open from Wednesday 6 May to 3pm, Wednesday 20 May 2020

  • Nominations are open from Tuesday 18 August to 3pm, Tuesday 1 September 2020
  • Voting is open from Tuesday 22 September to 3pm, Wednesday 7 October 2020
Academic Board committees
  • Nominations open from Tuesday 20 October to 3pm, Tuesday 3 November 2020
  • Voting is open from Tuesday 17 November to 3pm, Tuesday 1 December 2020

Student elections

Students can stand as candidates and vote in elections for Council, Academic Board, Academic Board committees, faculty boards and ActivateUTS.

  • Nominations open from Tuesday 18 August to 3pm, Tuesday 1 September 2020
  • Voting is open from Tuesday 22 September to 3pm, Wednesday 7 October 2020*

*In the ActivateUTS election, voting closes at 3pm on Tuesday 29 September 2020.

Chair and Deputy Chair, Academic Board elections

Elections for Chair and Deputy Chair of Academic Board will be held in 2020.

  • Nominations open from Tuesday 20 October to 3pm, Tuesday 3 November 2020
  • Voting is open from Tuesday 17 November to 3pm, Tuesday 1 December 2020
