Appointing a scrutineer

A scrutineer is someone who observes the counting of votes in an election.

If you are a candidate in an election, you may appoint a scrutineer to be present during vote counting. Vote counting is conducted by the Electoral Officer, on behalf of the Returning Officer, as soon as possible after the ballot closes.

To appoint a scrutineer, contact the Electoral Officer at elections@uts.edu.au.
