Electorate
Any student enrolled in a postgraduate research course (listed in the UTS register of award courses, with a minimum one year full-time or equivalent duration) can stand as a candidate, nominate candidates and vote in this election (Rule G3-22(1)(g)).

Postgraduate research students who are also members of academic or professional staff of the university (continuing or fixed-term) are not entitled to stand as candidates, nominate candidates or vote in this election (Rule G3-22(2)).
No more than two from any one faculty or unit can be elected to sit on the Research Committee from any election category.
